While these former staff members no longer contribute to Unity, we are happy to acknowledge their time spent with our team.
Many of our alumni were undergraduate student interns. Unity takes pride in providing a platform for undergraduate student employees to develop their skills in research computing, software engineering, systems administration, technical writing, and more. After graduating and departing Unity, our undergraduate student interns have worked for companies like The Hartford, xAI, Iron Mountain, Draper, and CVS.

Anshul Saha
Anshul Saha was a Junior Systems Administrator at UMass Amherst from September 2022 to May 2025. Saha graduated from UMass Amherst in 2026, and was a software engineering intern for xAI after his time at Unity.
Benjamin Pachev
Benjamin Pachev was a Research Fellow at UMass Amherst from February 2025 to June 2026. Pachev received his PhD in Computational Science from the University of Texas at Austin in 2024. He is currently a Senior Developer Technology Engineer at NVIDIA in a public sector role.
Collin Capano
Collin Capano was an HPC Facilitator at UMass Dartmouth from January 2022 to November 2023. He is currently Director of the Open Source Program Office and Research Associate Professor of Physics at Syracuse University.
Hakan Saplakoglu
Hakan Saplakoglu was a Junior HPC System Administrator at UMass Amherst from February 2019 to August 2021 and an HPC Systems Engineer from August 2021 to June 2022. He continued to act as maintainer of the Unity account portal until 2024. Saplakoglu graduated from UMass Amherst in 2022, and is currently a Senior Software Engineer at Boston University.
Jack Meddick
Jack Meddick was a Network Administrator at UMass Amherst from October 2024 to May 2026. Meddick is currently pursuing a B.A. in Sociology at UMass Amherst.
Jane Edison
Jane Edison was a Technical Writing Intern at UMass Amherst from September to December 2025. Edison graduated from UMass Amherst in 2026.
Jordan Wu
Jordan Wu was a Technical Writing Intern at UMass Amherst from October 2023 to May 2024. Wu graduated from UMass Amherst in 2024.
Julia Bragg
Julia Bragg was a Technical Writing Intern at UMass Amherst from September 2024 to May 2026. Bragg graduated from UMass Amherst in 2026, and is currently a Sales Communication and Bid Management Intern at Iron Mountain.
Liam Perry
Liam Perry was a Technical Writing Intern at UMass Amherst from June to August 2025. Perry graduated from UMass Amherst in 2026.
Matthew Gjanci
Matthew Gjanci was an Engineering System Administrator at UMass Amherst from May 2022 to May 2024. Gjanci graduated from UMass Amherst in 2024, and is currently an ASIC Engineer at Draper.
